1. What are the container's measurements? How many pallets fit in the container?

One of the fundamental conditions for the optimal use of the interior of container is the correct arrangement of the largest possible batch of cargo in it – not exceeding the maximum permitted payload or cargo gross weight, so as the individual cargo batches are not damaged during loading, transport and unloading.

When filling any universal or special container with a load placed on pallets – the use of its loading area will never reach 100% and will depend directly on the way the pallets are placed inside of it.

In container transport, it is permitted to stack pallets with load, therefore, the maximum height of the load, calculated together with a pallet, which enables loading pallets with a load according to the appropriate type of container, must be observed.

‍The most common containers are 20 ‘and 40’. If you want to learn more about the types of containers and the arrangement of pallets, click here.

2. How long does it take to ship from China?

Transit time from China depends on the type of transport selected. Transporting goods by rail is becoming more and more popular every year. This is due to the fact that the transport is now much faster. The import time from China is approximately 12-14 days.

If time is your priority and you want to save a bit on transport at the same time, choose the train. It is a very functional solution because it allows you to transport virtually all types of goods. One train can carry up to 50 containers, each with a capacity similar to a truck.
If fast transport is your priority, then the best solution is to choose the plane. Air transportation time depends mainly on the location of the airport. When taking direct connections, transport from China may take up to 1 day.

So if you order goods with a short expiry date, e.g. food, as well as those that require quick transport, e.g. pharmaceuticals, you will certainly be satisfied with how quickly you will get them.

The transport of goods by sea takes from 4 to 7 weeks. Transport length depends on formalities, customs issues, consolidation and deconsolidation. At MAGEMAR LOGISTICS, we handle the completion and submission of all necessary documents on your behalf.

Shipment of goods by sea is the right choice for you, if the price is your priority and you want to save on shipment from China. A ship is the least expensive means of transport. What’s more, there are literally no size restrictions.

3. Which Incoterms® to choose and what are terms of delivery?
